Our Story…
Hi there,
My name is Sarah and I’m a qualified and experienced primary school teacher.
I started ‘Teach It Today’ in 2020 with my husband during our first lockdown. At the time our goal was to create a high quality personalised range of educational write and wipe books for kids with sustainability as our main focus.
And we achieved our goal!
We sold over 500 books to families all around Australia. Woohoo!
Unfortunately, as much as we tried to automate the personalisation of the books it became costly and time consuming to keep them going. Then lockdown finished and I stepped back into the classroom.
We continued to create the books into 2021 and then finally stopped advertising and wrapped up mid 2021.
My focus went back to my students and back to home learning in the wave of our second lockdown.
Lockdown (FINALLY!!!) came to an end and we all returned back to school… which then led me back to my planner problem, and the slow but sure solution I had come up with the year prior…
In my opinion, one of the keys things to being a successful (and some-what stress free) teacher is being organised. Over the years, having a teacher planner has been key to reducing my stress levels and making sure my planning and record keeping are spot on.
During school terms my teaching planner is my everything.
My planner keeps me together, BUT it’s super heavy to carry around.
It’s A4 in size with a huge gold spiral and roughly 1.2kg.
Squeezed into my backpack with my laptop and lunch, I usually end up lopsided on the bus, with a sore shoulder by the end of the week.
I searched for a smaller planner ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE I could think of… online, in Kikki-K, Kmart, Newsagents, and couldn’t find a thing…
So, I created my own.
A smaller planner.
A lighter planner.
A more professional looking planner.
A planner that is 100% Made in Australia.
After two years in the making, I am excited to share with you Teach It Today’s first Teacher Planner, the ‘Teach Planner Weekly’ for 2023.
It has everything a teacher needs and more and I hope you love it as much as I do!
